Gray Zone Warfare has been under development in our bustling offices for more than three years. This new game is an immersive tactical FPS with a maximum focus on realism, immersive gameplay, and stunning graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5. Our team is searching for an experienced Senior Lighting Artist to help with the creation of an expanding vivid world of Gray Zone Warfare.

We are open to both on-site and remote cooperation.

• You will be responsible for setting and maintaining the contrast between the vivid atmosphere of an evergreen South Asian jungle and the grim nature of a realistic combat zone.
• You will help deliver top-notch real-time lighting for the game, as well as cinematic lighting for trailers and offline renders.
• Be part of the game team and contribute through lighting to a great player experience and immersive environmental atmosphere, while meeting performance constraints.
• Collaborate with Art Direction, Tech Art, and Coders on efficient systems suitable for an open-world game.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on lighting to other art team members.
• Work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.

• Several years of professional experience in the games industry as a Lighting Artist, preferably on realistic AAA titles.
• At least one shipped title with your significant (and presentable) contribution to lighting.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating your artistic eye for lighting, color grading, atmosphere, compositing, and overall attention to detail.
• Fluent experience with UE5 or similar editors.
• Excellent understanding of real-time lighting techniques, rendering, PBR workflows, post-processing, and photography fundamentals.
• Knowledge of HDR pipelines and lighting calibration
• Strong understanding of lighting optimization for performance, profiling, and the conceptual and technical skills required to set up and maintain lighting blueprints and assets.
• Solid experience with dynamic lighting for day/night cycles and various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex lighting challenges.

Bonus:

• Experience setting up and fine-tuning cloud and atmospheric systems.
• Experience with shaders/materials, scripting, or automation.
